Most people deal with stained or yellowed teeth at some point in their lives, but the good news is that a whiter, brighter smile is easy to achieve. Whether your tooth discoloration is caused by a daily cup of coffee, smoking, or aging, professional bleaching treatments are an effective way to remove stains and leave you feeling more confident in your appearance. We offer two types of teeth whitening at our office:

After
Before

Zoom! In-Office Teeth Whitening

Zoom! teeth whitening provides the most dramatic results in the shortest amount of time. We use a protective gel or to cover your gums, then apply a carbamide peroxide bleaching agent to your teeth. A specialized light enhances the action of the whitening agent. After a single office visit, you’ll leave with a noticeably brighter smile. We do not harm your enamel, we pull stains out from teeth to get back to original white.

At-Home Teeth Whitening

If you prefer to whiten your teeth at home, we offer custom made, at-home teeth bleaching kits. These kits are superior to the ones that can be purchased in stores and online, with a safe bleaching agent and customized mouthguards to ensure that the whitening gel is in direct contact with each of your teeth. We’ll provide you with instructions for how to use your at-home teeth whitening kit and the amount of time needed to achieve your desired results. Our home kits do not harm your teeth, unlike store bought brands.

Frequently Asked Questions About Teeth Whitening

What is the best whitener for your teeth?

If you’re looking for a treatment option that is fast and produces a dramatically whiter smile, in-office teeth whitening treatments are the best option for you. If, on the other hand, you have only mild stains or you’d like to whiten your teeth at home, our at-home teeth bleaching kits are ideal.

Is teeth whitening bad for your teeth?

Professional teeth whitening treatments are not bad for your teeth, as we take all of the necessary steps to protect your gums and tooth enamel. Some patients experience mild tooth sensitivity after having their teeth whitened, but this is temporary. Most importantly, remember the gel does not remove enamel, only stains from teeth.

How can I whiten my teeth in one day?

Our Zoom! teeth whitening treatments allow you to achieve a whiter smile in a single appointment. If you have an upcoming event or special occasion, Zoom! is the best way to get results fast.

Why are my teeth yellow when I brush them everyday?

Although poor oral hygiene practices can cause teeth to become yellow, that doesn’t mean your yellowing was caused by not brushing or flossing well. Tobacco, coffee, tea, and certain medications can all cause your teeth to have a yellow hue instead of the bright white we’d all like. Even the natural aging process can lead to thinner tooth enamel, which can make your teeth look yellow.

How long does teeth whitening last?

The results of teeth whitening treatments can last up to three years with proper care and maintenance. Practice good oral hygiene habits and use an at-home whitening kit for touch-ups when needed to keep your teeth white for years after your treatment. Each person will vary on length, due to diet and thickness of enamel.

Is Zoom! teeth whitening painful?

No, Zoom! whitening is not painful, but you may experience some sensitivity during and after the treatment, particularly if you have sensitive teeth to start with. If you have tooth sensitivity, let us know before your appointment—we can take steps to make your professional teeth whitening treatment more comfortable. Prior to the procedure, we ask you to use a special fluoride toothpaste to help with sensitivity.
